Roy Tighe has the sensibilities of a teenager and the responsibilities of an adult. He wants to be a pro golfer and have the respect and recognition that entails, but he's unwilling or unable to act like one. He'll never gain acceptance from serious professionals because he consummately and proudly unprofessional. Nor does he possess the skills to be a successful course manager and the golf course he inherited from his grandfather would fall apart if it weren't for Pauly. Even so, the course still takes up so much of Roy's time that he has little left over to devote to pursuing his pro dream. Lucky for Roy, there's still plenty of time for drinking, partying, and philandering.

Go to Pauly's Gallery

Pauly MacDonald is Roy's childhood friend who he hired to be the course manager - basically, to do all the "business stuff" Roy doesn't want to be bothered with. Pauly refused to even go to school despite his parents' insistence, despite being quite capable. Now with a real world challenge, he's doing it the hard way. Pauly would rather golfing the back nine with Roy than managing a business, but he's doing it out of loyalty to Roy and to Roy's grandfather - the only family he felt like he belonged in. Pauly takes no shit and doesn't give a fuck who you are or what you think. He cuts through bullshit (particularly Roy's) with ease to get at the heart of matters. He is the Kevlar deflecting the bullets of Roy's inanity. Not so much of a people person, Roy's charming personality is his missing piece.

Go to PP's Gallery

PP is a kind, gentle soul, PP is a giant sweetheart. PP is the type of guy that will show you his sword collection on a first date. Assuming he ever got a first date. PP lives with his grandmother, Gramma P. They take care of each other. Although Roy, Pauly, and Mandy are his friends, he spends all his time off the course with his online World of Warcraft guildmates. The dialect of online speak infiltrates PP's real life grammar and while he thinks it's cool/normal, no one else does - assuming they even understand him. If Pauly is the here-and-now and Roy is the future, PP is in some alternate reality that Pauly just doesn't get. PP ends up bearing the brunt of the jokes of his friends, but he's often oblivious to the fact. The guys rib PP like they would a baby brother, and love him just the same.

Mandy (Will be joining the the 3 some in season 2) Mandy is an independent and outspoken woman, Mandy has been the beer cart girl at the golf course since before Roy's time as owner. She uses the course to make money to backpack through Asia, Australia, or wherever else her mood takes her. She is all too familiar with the daily shenanigans of Roy, Pauly, and PP.  Mandy grew up playing in Roy's kiddie pool and has known them all for most of her life, but she doesn't like to be known as the "girl" of the group.  She does her job at the course and expects no hassle.   If you're planning on treating her with disrespect, you may find yourself nose deep in a sand trap of pain.
